As part of our #TechInAction event, St Thomas More gave our grade 5 and 6 students the opportunity to design a logo. Our senior students have been learning about app development, UX (user experience), UI (user interface), project management and coding. They have been required to work in a team to solve a problem, create a prototype of an app and brand a company. This has been extremely successful with students ‘pitching’ their ideas to a panel of ‘sharks’ (like you see on the TV show Shark Tank).
We wanted to give students the opportunity to use the skills they have learned to design a logo and actually see it come to life. The winning logo can be seen in this article. It was designed by a grade 6 student at St Thomas More. Her peers voted for this design to be printed on all #TechInAction merchandise. Congratulations to Carla.
